Gift of Happiness
She danced in the stage alone. Didn't
bother whether anyone is watching or not . She did whatever made her
feel happy. Her happiness could be seen on her face. Her eyes showed
how much she was enjoying herself.
As her mother I could feel the same
happiness inside me watching her happy. Without even getting up from
my seat me too felt like I am dancing in the air and enjoying myself
more than her . That day the party ended. We returned home late.
I knew my mom would be awake waiting
for my call to inform her that we returned home safely. So I called her up to say that we have
returned home safely but more than that I wanted to tell her how
excited I was to watch my princess dance like an angel . As I shared
my views and joy with my mom I could sense the same joy inside my
mom. Even so far from me physically, I felt so close to
her. The joy of watching my daughter
enjoying herself and sharing the experience with my mom connected all
three of us in the same thread.
That night while going to sleep I tried
to figure out what was the reason that made all three of us happy.
My daughter was dancing and enjoying
herself, that made her happy. I watched her cute little dance steps
and saw her happy made me happy, but what about my mom. The only
reason I could figure out that made my mom happy was "my
happiness" the same very reason which made me happy watching my
daughter. To confirm my finding I tried to recollect the reasons
which made my parents sad and happy in the past from my memory. Most
of the memories which I could recollect involved either me or my
elder sister.
My experience with my daughter for last
2 years made me realise that even if I am sad , a smile from my
daughter make me forget my sadness. That day I realised that this
doesn't only implies to me but it implies to all parents.
So friends if you are concerned about
your parents and want them to be happy and proud first make yourself
happy and proud . It will be the best gift you could ever give to
your parents. Whatever the circumstances arises remember that you
will be always loved by your loved ones for good and bad. Just be
Happy. :)
